Well, Day One is complete and you couldn't have asked for better games. Both Northeastern-Wyoming and UTEP-Nevada went right down to the wire... both ending in two point wins for the road teams.
Ironically, both road teams jumped out to double-figure leads in the first half of their games. Northeastern held off a late run by Wyoming in a 64-62 win. Then, UTEP did the same thing and got a bucket from C-USA all-time leading scorer Stefon Jackson with :04 seconds left to beat Nevada, 79-77.
Only five road teams won games last year in the tournament, so it will make tonight's six-game slate very interesting.
So UTEP and Northeastern will meet in the second round next Monday. Site TBD.
Tonight's schedule...
St. John's @ Richmond- 7:00 PM ET
Charleston @ Troy- 8:00 PM ET
Vermont @ Green Bay- 8:00 PM ET
Buffalo @ Wichita State- 8:00 PM ET (HDNet)
Boise State @ Stanford- 10:00 PM ET
Houston @ Oregon State- 10:00 PM ET (HDNet)
More updates later when we get them.

N.U. WON W/O THERE BEST PLAYER...
ANY IDEAS WHY ADAKO WAS UNAVAILABLE???
This tournament is a joke, how can you possibly invite 2 teams with sub .500 won - lost records?
I can't understand why the College of Charleston doesn't get to host games in this tournament? The C of C has a much better record than Troy and Richmond along with a brand new arena.
